What a window cleaning change order is for
On the day, customers add the garage windows or the glass railing, or the crew finds hard water that regular cleaning will not remove. A written change with the added price, approved before the crew starts it, prevents an argument when the invoice comes. It also gives the crew a clear list of what changed.
What to put on a window cleaning change order
- The original price.
- What was added or found.
- Added and removed lines.
- The new total.
- Approval before the extra work.

The customer adds the garage windows and a glass deck railing, and decides to skip the screens.

Terms and deposit language for window cleaning
- Deposit. No deposit on residential jobs. Commercial routes are billed monthly.
- Payment. Due on completion, or monthly for recurring storefronts.
- Warranty. Streaks reported within a day or two are re-cleaned at no charge. Say the window.
- Weather can delay exterior work; say how rain days are handled.
- Hard water stains and scratches may not come off with regular cleaning; restoration is quoted separately.
- Customer clears sills and moves fragile items inside.
How to fill it in
- Put in the original estimate number and amount.
- Write what changed in the reason box, plainly.
- Add the new work; type a minus quantity for any credit.
- Fill in the days added.
