About Shane
Shane Allen is co-founder and CEO of Koira, the AI platform that gets contractors more jobs. Shane runs go-to-market and built Koira for the shops where every customer is won by hand.
Before Koira, Shane took technology to market for the teams behind NASA, Amazon, Google, Lockheed Martin and Hyundai, worked with Unilever, LG and Ubisoft, and did the same work for small manufacturers and one-truck shops. The rest of the team is on the leadership page.
What Shane writes
The guides on koira.ai are written for owners of trade businesses, from one truck to a crew of fifteen. The guides carry Shane's byline, which links back to this page.

How the numbers are checked
The figures in the guides and the Koira reports come from sources we can show you: the Bureau of Labor Statistics wage files, each state's licensing board, published cost guides and each company's own pricing page. Where each family of numbers comes from, and how often it is re-checked, is on how Koira's data is made. Every dataset, with its CSV and a citation, is on Koira data.
The house rule for the words, from the leadership page: "If a roofer would not say it, we do not write it."
