How these pages are made
Every figure comes from the BLS state and national data files for May 2025, across all industries, for one standard occupation code per trade. BLS holds back some figures when its sample is too small. Those are left out, never estimated, and a state page goes up only when BLS published a median wage for it. The counts cover people on a payroll, so owner-operators are not in them.
