What a pool service receipt is for

Openings and closings are often paid in cash or by check at the gate, and equipment replacements are large enough that customers keep the receipt for warranty claims. A receipt naming the pool address, the service and the equipment model makes a warranty claim easy later.

What to put on a pool service receipt

  • Address and date.
  • Service or equipment, with model numbers.
  • Amount and payment method.
  • Paid in full or the balance.

A worked example

A spring opening paid by check at the gate, with a new pump basket replaced during start-up.

Note the start-up readings in the notes. If the water turns in a week, the receipt shows where it started.
