What a concrete receipt is for

Concrete jobs are large enough that homeowners keep the paperwork for resale and for any warranty claim. A receipt with the address, the work and the date, plus the balance on a deposit, gives them what they need and reassures them before the pour. It also records the pour date, which matters for curing and warranty questions.

What to put on a concrete receipt

  • Amount, date and payment method.
  • Area and work done or scheduled.
  • Deposit or final payment.
  • Balance remaining.

A worked example

The homeowner paid the deposit by check to book the driveway pour. Enter it in Amount received.

Terms and deposit language for concrete

  • Deposit. A deposit at signing schedules the pour and covers forming materials. Deposit limits for home improvement work differ from state to state, so confirm yours.
  • Payment. Balance due on the day of the pour or when forms are stripped, as agreed.
  • Warranty. Concrete cracks; control joints guide where. Say what you warrant (such as heaving, scaling or settling beyond a set amount) and what you do not (hairline cracks, damage from salt or heavy trucks).
  • Pour dates depend on weather and temperature; say how a rain day is handled.
  • Keep cars off a new driveway for the curing time you advise.
  • Sprinkler lines, invisible dog fences and buried cables in the dig area are the owner's to mark.

How to fill it in

  1. Fill in who paid and which job or invoice the payment is for.
  2. Check the lines; they show what the payment covers.
  3. Pick how they paid and add the check or reference number.
  4. Type the amount received, or leave it blank when it pays the whole total.
  5. Print it, download it, or hand it over as a PDF.

FAQ

Should concrete contractors give deposit receipts?

Yes, with the amount, the scheduled pour and the balance. Customers waiting on weather like knowing their slot is held.

What should a concrete receipt include?

The address, date, area and work, the amount and how it was paid, and any balance remaining. Add the pour date if it differs from the payment date.

Do buyers ask for driveway receipts?

Sometimes. A receipt with the date and the work shows the driveway's age and who installed it. That can matter when a buyer's inspector notes cracks.

How do I send a receipt from the job?

Save it as a PDF on your phone and text it, or let Koira send it when you record the payment.
