Key takeaways
  • For a concrete contractor, the features that decide the software are measuring from above, options on one estimate, deposits at signing.
  • Koira covers that list on Office (free), with no per-person fee.
  • Prices and card rates for Jobber, QuoteIQ and Contractor Foreman are from each company's own pages.
  • Count the people who will use it before you compare prices.

What a concrete contractor needs from software

Concrete work is sold by the square foot and won on speed. The homeowner who asks about a driveway on Monday has three numbers by Friday, and the one who answered first with a clear price and a clean set of options usually gets the pour.

After that the job is about money timing: material ordered with the customer's deposit, the pour scheduled around the weather, and the final paid while the forms are still coming off.

  • Measuring from above. Most concrete leads start with a driveway or a patio, and a first number by the square foot sorts the shoppers from the buyers.
  • Options on one estimate. Broom finish, stamped or exposed aggregate is a choice the homeowner makes better when the three prices sit side by side.
  • Deposits at signing. Ready-mix and rebar are ordered before the pour, so the deposit should be in before the truck is booked.
  • Automatic estimate follow-ups. Flatwork bids go quiet while the homeowner gets two more numbers.
  • Invoices in stages. A big pour with demo and forming is billed at signing, at forming and at the finish.
  • Review requests. A new driveway is seen by every neighbor, and a review keeps that visible online.

A plain checklist for concrete software

  • A first number from a satellite measure
  • Finish options side by side on one estimate
  • Deposit at signing, before the mix is ordered
  • Polite follow-ups on open bids
  • Staged invoices on big pours
  • A day-before text to confirm access
  • Paid on the spot when the job is done
  • A review ask while the slab is new

How Koira covers the list

Measuring from above. On Office, the free plan, Koira measures a driveway from satellite images for a first number priced from your own list. You confirm on site before the final bid.

Options on one estimate. An estimate carries up to three options from your price list, signed with a finger and paid on one page.

Deposits at signing. Your deposit rule is added to every estimate and paid at signing, before you order the mix.

Automatic estimate follow-ups. On Grow, Koira nudges every open estimate on day two and day four, then stops.

Invoices in stages. Deposit, midpoint and final invoices go out as you mark each stage done.

Review requests. After every paid job Koira asks for a review, on every plan.

What Koira does not doKoira does not do payroll, inventory or a dispatch board for a call center. If you need those, a larger system may suit you better.

What to compare

The features that matter most to a concrete contractor, and where each first appears on each company's public pricing page, then the people, usage, card and add-on rows every company gets. It is not a full feature list for anyone, including us.

Jobber's pricing page blocks a plain fetch and changes its prices with a team size picker, so we read it in a real browser. The $29 a month per added user is in the note behind each plan's user count. A cell names the lowest plan that lists the feature; "Not listed" means we did not see it, so ask. Card rates as each company publishes them (also QuoteIQ online payments), checked October 9, 2026. Koira's is Stripe's 2.9% + 30¢ for a US card plus Koira's share, which pays for Office in place of a monthly fee.

How to choose

If you lose bids to whoever answered first, measuring and instant prices come first. If you carry material costs for weeks, deposits and staged invoices come first. Koira covers both on the free plan; it does not do takeoffs from plans or job costing.

Whichever you try, put one real week of jobs through it before you commit. Koira has a free plan, and the others offer free trials or demos, so ask.
