What a hood cleaning receipt is for

Restaurants keep proof of hood cleaning for fire inspectors, insurers and landlords. A receipt with the address, the date, the system cleaned and the next due date is one more document in that file, and it reminds the owner that you are the company that keeps them on schedule.

What to put on a hood cleaning receipt

  • Paid amount, payment day and method.
  • Restaurant name and address.
  • System cleaned.
  • Next cleaning due.

A worked example

The restaurant paid for the quarterly cleaning by card. Enter it in Amount received.

FAQ

Why do restaurants keep hood cleaning receipts?

Fire inspectors, insurers and landlords ask for proof that the exhaust system is cleaned on schedule. Dated receipts are part of that file.

What should a hood cleaning receipt show?

The restaurant and address, the date, the hood, duct and fan cleaned, the amount and how it was paid, and the next date due.

Is the service label enough proof?

The label on the hood shows the last cleaning. Receipts and reports show the history, which inspectors and insurers may want.

Can receipts go out after night jobs?

Yes. Record the payment in Koira and the receipt is texted or emailed to the owner before the kitchen opens.
