- For a hood cleaning company, the features that decide the software are recurring service plans, stops sorted by the drive and invoices and online payments.
- Koira covers that list on Front Office ($499 flat), with no per-person fee.
- One company we checked names this trade on its own site: QuoteIQ.
- Prices and card rates for QuoteIQ, Jobber and Housecall Pro are from each company's own pages, checked October 8, 2026.
What a hood cleaning company needs from software
Kitchen hood cleaning is recurring work on a fixed cycle, done at night. A route of restaurants, each on its own schedule, is the whole business, and keeping that schedule and the billing straight is most of the office work.
Growth means more kitchens, and new restaurant accounts rarely call in. They are found, and a small company needs a way to reach them without a sales team.
- Recurring service plans. Each kitchen is cleaned on its own cycle, quarterly, twice a year or monthly, set by how much it cooks.
- Stops sorted by the drive. Hood work is done at night after close, and a night of kitchens only works in driving order.
- Invoices and online payments. A night job billed by paper invoice is often paid weeks later, if at all.
- Crew scheduling. Two-person night crews need to know which kitchens are theirs.
- QuickBooks Online sync. Restaurant accounts are business customers, and the books need to match.
- Day-before reminders. The kitchen manager needs to know the crew is coming after close.
The jobs on a hood cleaning estimate
These are the lines on a hood cleaning quote, from the price list in our free hood cleaning estimate template.
| Job line | Priced by | What the line says |
|---|---|---|
| Hood, plenum and filters cleaned | ft | Hood length in feet. |
| Horizontal duct cleaned | ft | Accessible runs; access panels used. |
| Vertical duct cleaned | ft | Riser to the roof. |
| Upblast exhaust fan cleaned | each | Fan bowl, blades and housing. |
| Grease containment on fan | each | Absorbent filter or box. |
| Access panel installed | each | Where the duct cannot be reached. |
| Fan hinge kit | each | So the fan can be tilted for cleaning. |
| Filter exchange | each | Swap of baffle filters between cleanings. |
| Fan belt replacement | each | Belt size noted for next time. |
| First clean of a neglected system | hour | Extra time for heavy buildup. |
In Koira these go on your price list once. Every estimate, instant price and invoice pulls from it, so a hood cleaning company never types the same line twice, and Koira never writes a number that is not in your records.
A plain checklist for hood cleaning software

- The night's kitchens in driving order
- Plan visits billed on the card on file
- Who is late, on one screen
- Crew lanes for night crews
- Outreach to restaurants near you
- QuickBooks Online kept in step
- No per-person fee as crews grow
How Koira covers the list
Recurring service plans. On Front Office, each restaurant's maintenance plan sets its visits, quarterly, twice a year or monthly, bills it and books the next cleaning.
Stops sorted by the drive. Today puts the night's kitchens in driving order, on every plan.
Invoices and online payments. Plan visits are billed on the card on file, and Money shows who is late.
Crew scheduling. On Front Office, each person gets a lane with their stops and clocks in and out of jobs.
QuickBooks Online sync. On Grow and up, invoices, payments and deposits post to QuickBooks Online as they happen.
Day-before reminders. The day before, Koira texts the kitchen contact to confirm the visit.
