QuoteIQ has a lot going for it: it is made by contractors, it bundles measuring, quoting, scheduling and invoicing in one app, and its entry plan is inexpensive. If you are weighing it up, or looking for a QuoteIQ alternative, the useful question is what you want the software to do. QuoteIQ gives you a very wide set of tools to run. Koira is built to run the office work for you. All QuoteIQ facts below come from QuoteIQ's pricing page, checked October 8, 2026. Koira facts come from our own pricing and feature pages.

Key takeaways
  • QuoteIQ has five plans from $29.99 to $699.99 a month, each with a set number of users and a monthly allowance of IQ Credits for its AI features.
  • QuoteIQ's AI call assistant, estimate generator and automations draw down those credits, which reset each month and do not roll over.
  • Koira's measuring and instant quotes are on its free Office plan; its AI receptionist is on Grow at $249 a month plus usage at cost.
  • QuoteIQ is the better pick for route optimization, inventory, job costing or QuickBooks today, and for a low entry price with an AI call assistant.

Who each one is built for

QuoteIQ calls itself "the all-in-one CRM built by home service contractors, for home service contractors". Its plans run from Essentials, "for solo operators getting started", to Max, "for larger operations with 20 users". The pricing page counts 154 features across five plans, from AI tools and a camera app to employee management, inventory and route optimization. It suits an owner who likes having every tool in one place and is happy to set them up.

Koira is built for the solo owner and the small crew who would rather not run software at all. It builds your site from your business, answers on your number, texts back missed calls with three open times, drafts estimates from your photos, follows up on bids, sends the invoice when you tap done, asks for the review and mails postcards to the neighbors. The list of features is shorter on purpose. The work is done for you.

From QuoteIQ's pricing page, checked October 8, 2026. Billed yearly, the plans are $299.99, $999.99, $1,999.99, $2,999.99 and $6,999.99, paid up front ("save 2 months yearly"). Extra users are $25 per user per month on any plan. QuoteIQ offers a 14-day free trial, says there are no contracts or cancellation fees, and has a Price-Lock Guarantee: existing customers keep their price while they stay on the same plan.

QuoteIQ's page also says that payment processing, extra usage and optional services are charged separately from the subscription. Online payments and customer financing run through your own Stripe or Whop account, and their fees follow that provider.

Front Office$499, usage included0.5%, plus Stripe's processing

Koira is month to month with no per-person fee. Card payments go straight to your own Stripe account; Stripe's processing for a US card is 2.9% + 30¢, and Koira's share comes on top.

How IQ Credits work, and why they matter

QuoteIQ's AI features are paid for in IQ Credits. Every plan includes a monthly allowance, from 500 on Essentials to 8,000 on Max, and each AI feature costs a different number of credits. QuoteIQ's page lists how they are used:

  • AutoPilot uses credits per automation prompt.
  • Virtual Call Team, the AI call assistant, uses credits per call minute.
  • The Before and After Generator uses credits per image.
  • The Estimate Generator uses credits per AI estimate.
  • Auto Complete uses credits per text completion.

Credits reset at the start of each billing cycle and unused credits do not roll over. The page does not say how many credits a call minute costs, so a busy week on the phone is hard to price in advance. QuoteIQ suggests checking the usage screen before a big AI task and testing the work you plan to run during the trial. That is good advice.

Koira handles this differently. On Grow, the texts, call minutes and emails Koira sends are passed through at what they cost, with nothing added. On Front Office they are included in the $499. There is no allowance to run out of mid-month.

What Koira does differently

Measuring and instant quotes on the free plan. QuoteIQ's MapMeasure Pro starts on the Beginner plan, and its InstaQuote self-quoting tool on Elite. Koira's instant quotes put a Get a price button on your site that answers from your own price list, and Koira can measure a roof, lawn or driveway from satellite images for the first number. Both are on every Koira plan, including Office.

The phone answered on your number. Koira's AI receptionist picks up, and when you cannot, it texts back in about a minute with three open times, in English or Spanish. The booking lands on your day. QuoteIQ includes its AI Virtual Call Team from Essentials, paid in credits per minute.

A website that runs itself, on every plan. QuoteIQ's AI Website Builder is listed as included on Max. Koira builds your site from your business on every plan, adds a page for every town you work, posts a finished job each month and keeps your Google and Bing listings matching. Your own domain is on Grow.

Follow-through you do not have to set up. Koira nudges every open estimate on day two and day four, then stops. It sends the invoice when you tap done, takes payment by QR code at the door, asks for the review an hour after payment, and can print and mail neighbor postcards after each job. On Standard Koira drafts and you tap; on Turbo it sends.

No per-person fee. QuoteIQ includes 1 to 20 users depending on the plan, then $25 per extra user. Koira costs the same with one person or fifteen.

When QuoteIQ is the better choice

  • You want the lowest entry price with an AI call assistant. Essentials is $29.99 a month and includes the AI Virtual Call Team, within its 500 monthly credits. Koira's receptionist starts with Grow at $249 a month.
  • You need QuickBooks or job costing today. Both are on QuoteIQ Pro. Koira's QuickBooks connection is waiting on Intuit's review, and job costing is not on our feature pages.
  • You run routes and stock. QuoteIQ's Elite plan adds route optimization, pipelines and inventory. Koira sorts the day by the drive but does not track inventory.
  • You want employee tools built in. EmployeeHub is on QuoteIQ's Elite plan and crew management on Max.
  • You like learning from other contractors. QuoteIQ's founders run YouTube channels with more than 1.3 million subscribers combined, per its pricing page. If you learn best from video, that is a real plus.
  • You want a price lock. QuoteIQ's Price-Lock Guarantee keeps your price as long as you stay on your plan.

When Koira is the better choice

  • You want measuring and instant quotes without paying for a higher plan.
  • You want follow-ups, invoices, review asks and postcards to happen without setting up automations.
  • You would rather pay for calls and texts at cost than manage a credit allowance.
  • You are adding helpers and do not want a per-user charge.
  • You want a website, town pages and listings kept current for you on every plan.

A worked example for a two person shop

Say you and one helper both need the app, and you want calls answered and a way for customers to measure and price a driveway on your site.

On QuoteIQ, two users fit the Beginner plan at $99.99 a month, which includes MapMeasure Pro and the AI Virtual Call Team within 1,500 credits. The self-quoting InstaQuote tool is listed on Elite, at $299.99 a month. Payment processing is separate, through Stripe or Whop.

On Koira, the same two people on Grow pay $249 a month plus usage at cost, with instant quotes and measuring, the receptionist, booking by text and your own domain included, and 1% of card payments on top of Stripe's processing. Add a third or fourth person and neither Koira price changes. Which comes out ahead depends on your call volume and card volume, so price both with your own numbers.
