- For a pool service company, the features that decide the software are recurring service plans, stops sorted by the drive, customer page or portal.
- Koira covers that list on Front Office ($499 flat), with no per-person fee.
- Prices for Jobber, Housecall Pro and QuoteIQ are from each company's own page, checked October 8, 2026.
- Count the people who will use it before you compare prices.
What a pool service company needs from software
A pool route is the same stops every week, billed every month. When that runs on its own, a pool company is a steady business. When it does not, the owner spends the first of the month sending sixty invoices and answering texts asking whether anyone came.
The other half of the money is repairs: pumps, filters and heaters spotted on the route. Those only get sold if the quote goes out before you leave the yard.
- Recurring service plans. Weekly service billed monthly on the card is the whole revenue line.
- Stops sorted by the drive. The same stops every week only pay if they are sorted by the drive.
- Customer page or portal. A stop marked done that the customer can see ends the did-you-come texts.
- Options on one estimate. Pumps, filters and heaters are repair sales made standing at the equipment pad.
- Day-before reminders. Gate codes and dogs mean customers like to know the day you are coming.
- Paid on the spot. Repairs should be paid on the spot, not added to next month.
A plain checklist for pool service software
- Weekly service as a plan billed on the card on file
- The route in driving order
- Each stop marked done where the customer can see it
- Repair options sent from the pad with a photo
- Day-before reminders and on-my-way texts
- Paid on the spot for repairs
- Postcards to homes near your route
- Tech stops and hours, if you have techs
How Koira covers the list
Recurring service plans. On Front Office, weekly service runs as a plan that bills the card on file each month.
Stops sorted by the drive. Today puts the route in driving order on every plan.
Customer page or portal. Each stop is marked done and shows on the customer's own page, on every plan.
Options on one estimate. Snap a photo and send three repair options from your price list before you leave.
Day-before reminders. Koira sends the day-before reminder and an on-my-way text.
Paid on the spot. Repairs are paid by QR code at the pad, card or phone wallet.

From Jobber pricing, Housecall Pro pricing and QuoteIQ pricing, checked October 8, 2026. A cell names the lowest plan that lists the feature; "Not listed" means we did not see it, so ask. Jobber's pricing page blocks a plain fetch and changes its prices with a team size picker, so we read it in a real browser. The $29 a month per added user is in the note behind each plan's user count. Part of Housecall Pro's pricing page fills in by script and it was running first-month offers when we checked. The plan prices below are the regular ones its plan cards show. Prices are per month in US dollars and change often, so check the page before you buy.
ServiceTitan is left out of that table because its pricing page does not list prices. It sells Starter, Essentials and The Works per technician on request, and is built for shops with an office.

How to choose
Count how long the first of the month takes you. If billing is a day of work, recurring billing comes first. If customers text to ask whether you came, look at proof of visit. If repairs slip, look at quoting from the pad.
Whichever you try, put one real week of jobs through it before you commit. Koira has a free plan, and the others offer free trials, so ask.
