What a house cleaning invoice is for
Cleaning clients are usually out when you clean, so the invoice is how they see what happened. A monthly invoice listing each visit and any add-ons, with dates, makes recurring billing easy to trust. One-time clients get an invoice the same day that matches the estimate.
What to put on a house cleaning invoice
- Each visit with its date, or the billing period.
- Add-ons done on each visit.
- Any credits for missed or shortened visits.
- How it is paid.
A worked example
Two biweekly visits in the month, with an inside fridge add-on on the second. The visit price is the calculator's typical standard clean.
| Line | Qty | Unit | Price | Amount |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Standard clean, biweekly visits * | 2 | each | $233.00 | $466.00 |
| Inside refrigerator | 1 | each | Your price |
Put the visit dates in the notes. If a visit was skipped at the client's request, say so; a missing visit with no note is what starts a billing question.
