What a carpet cleaning invoice is for
Carpet cleaning is paid at the door, so the invoice needs to be ready the moment the wand goes back on the truck. It should match the estimate and show any added treatment the customer approved on site. Notes on drying and spots that may wick back save calls.
What to put on a carpet cleaning invoice
- Rooms, stairs and areas cleaned.
- Treatments and protector applied.
- Anything added on site with approval.
- Drying and aftercare notes.
- Payment on completion.

The two-story job is finished. The customer added the sofa while the crew was there.

Terms and deposit language for carpet cleaning
- Deposit. No deposit on residential jobs; commercial or large jobs may take one to hold the date.
- Payment. Due when the job is done, before the crew leaves.
- Warranty. If a spot reappears within a short window from wicking, you come back to treat it at no charge. Say the window, and that some stains are permanent.
- Drying time depends on airflow and humidity; keep traffic off until dry.
- Pet urine may need more than one treatment and may not fully remove odor if it reached the pad.
- Customer moves fragile and valuable items before the visit.
