What a flooring work order is for
Flooring mistakes are permanent: planks run the wrong way, a transition at the wrong height, a door that no longer closes. The work order sets the layout direction, the transitions, the trim plan and the subfloor checks before the first box is opened. It also notes the appliances that need careful handling.
What to put on a flooring work order
- Rooms and product.
- Layout direction and starting wall.
- Removal and subfloor checks.
- Transitions and thresholds.
- Trim plan and door trimming.
- Furniture and appliances to move.
