What a moving work order is for

A moving crew needs to know where to park the truck, whether the elevator is reserved, which items stay behind and which are fragile. A work order with both addresses, access details at each end and the large item list keeps the day on schedule and reduces damage.

What to put on a moving work order

  • Both addresses and arrival time.
  • Parking and elevator reservations.
  • Stairs and long carries at each end.
  • Large items and specialty items.
  • Items not to move.
  • Fragile items and protection.

Put what stays behind and the parking plan at the new home in site notes. Moving the wrong dresser is the classic mistake.

FAQ

What should a moving work order include?

Both addresses, parking and elevators, stairs and carries, large and specialty items, items not to move, and fragile pieces.

Why list items not to move?

So the crew does not load something sold with the house or staying with a roommate. It happens more than you would think.

Should the crew walk through at the end?

Yes, at both homes, so nothing is left behind and the customer sees where things were placed. It is also the moment to ask for a review while the customer is relieved.

Can I send the work order to the crew lead?

Yes. Save as PDF and text it, or keep it on the job in Koira. The crew lead then has both addresses and the access notes in one place.

We know what works. Leave it to Koira.
