What a garage door work order is for
Garage door techs need the right spring on the truck, and the right spring depends on the door size, weight and drum. A work order with the door details from the phone call, the parts to load and the access notes avoids a second trip. For installs, it carries the order details and haul-away plan.
What to put on a garage door work order
- Door size, type and weight if known.
- Parts and springs to load.
- Opener model.
- Access and what is parked in the garage.
- Safety tests to record.
- Customer sign-off.
