- For a garage door company, the features that decide the software are calls answered by ai, price book, options on one estimate.
- Koira covers that list on Grow ($249 a month plus usage), with no per-person fee.
- Prices and card rates for FieldPulse, Service Fusion and Housecall Pro are from each company's own pages.
- Count the people who will use it before you compare prices.
What a garage door company needs from software
Garage door work is part emergency service and part sales. The emergency side is a door that will not close at seven in the morning; whoever answers gets the job. The sales side is the new door or opener that comes up on half those calls.
That puts answering and a clean price list at the top. The repair should be priced the same every time, and the replacement should be offered as options the homeowner can pick from on the spot.
- Calls answered by AI. A door stuck open is an urgent call, and the caller dials the next company if nobody answers.
- Price book. Springs, cables, rollers and openers are repeat jobs that should be priced the same every time.
- Options on one estimate. Repair the old door or replace it is the biggest decision on most calls, and three prices make it easy.
- Customers book online. Tune-ups and opener installs can be booked by the customer without a call.
- Paid on the spot. A spring replacement is paid best before the van leaves the driveway.
- Automatic estimate follow-ups. New door quotes are big, and homeowners wait to compare.

How Koira covers the list
Calls answered by AI. On Grow, Koira answers every call on a Koira number, texts back the ones it cannot finish and books the visit into your day.
Price book. Your price list drives every estimate and instant price. Koira never writes a number that is not in your records.
Options on one estimate. Repair, replace or upgrade sit side by side on one estimate, signed and paid on one page.
Customers book online. Customers book online from your site, into times that fit your day, on every plan.
Paid on the spot. The invoice opens as a QR code on your phone: card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or pay over time.
Automatic estimate follow-ups. On Grow, Koira nudges every open estimate on day two and day four, then stops.

A cell names the lowest plan that lists the feature; "Not listed" means we did not see it, so ask. Prices change often, so check the page before you buy.

Card rates as each company publishes them (also Service Fusion Payments), checked October 9, 2026. Koira's is Stripe's 2.9% + 30¢ for a US card plus Koira's share, which pays for Office in place of a monthly fee.
How to choose
Count the calls you missed last week. If the number is more than a few, answering comes first. If your techs price the same repair differently, the price list comes first. Koira answers on Grow and prices from your list on every plan.
Whichever you try, put one real week of jobs through it before you commit. Koira has a free plan, and the others offer free trials or demos, so ask.
