What a pest control service agreement is for
Recurring pest service is the core of most pest control businesses, and the agreement is what every complaint and re-service request is measured against. It should list the pests covered and excluded, the re-service promise, and safety and prep duties, in plain words. Termite warranties need their own clear terms.
What to put on a pest control service agreement
- Pests covered and excluded.
- Visit frequency and re-service promise.
- Customer prep and safety duties.
- Price, billing and price changes.
- Term, renewal and cancellation.
- Your license number.
A worked example
The family signs for quarterly general pest service for a year.
| Line | Qty | Unit | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Initial treatment | 1 | each | Your price |
| General pest service, quarterly | 4 | visit | Your price |
| Re-service between visits, as needed | 1 | each | Your price |
List excluded pests in the Not covered box. This is a template, not legal advice; pest control is licensed and regulated, and some states set rules for service contracts and renewals, so check your state's rules.
