What a pest control proposal is for

Pest control sells as plans, and customers rarely know what each level protects against. Three plans on the same house, each listing the pests covered, let the customer choose what they worry about. The top plan bundles termite protection, which is the costliest risk most homeowners face.

What to put on a pest control proposal

  • The same house and the initial treatment in each plan.
  • Pests covered in each.
  • Visit frequency and re-service.
  • Termite warranty terms where included.
  • One sign-up line.

A worked example

The same house and the same initial treatment in every plan; only the pests covered change. Price each line from your own visit costs.

Option 1: Good: general pest. Ants, spiders, roaches and crawling insects, quarterly.

List the pests each plan covers in its note. Customers choose by the pest they fear, not by the visit count.

Terms and deposit language for pest control

  • Deposit. No deposit on recurring service. Termite and bed bug treatments may take a deposit to schedule.
  • Payment. Recurring plans billed per visit, monthly or yearly; one-time treatments due on completion.
  • Warranty. Plans often include free re-service if pests return between visits. Termite warranties should state their length, renewal and what they cover.
  • All products are applied according to the label and your state's licensing rules.
  • The customer follows prep instructions, especially for bed bugs and interior treatments.
  • Pets and people stay off treated areas for the time the label requires.

How to fill it in

  1. Fill in the customer and the job.
  2. Check each option's name, its one-line difference and its lines.
  3. Add your prices; each option totals on its own.
  4. Set tax, the deposit and the good-until date.
  5. Print it, download it, or send it from Koira so the customer can pick and sign on the phone.

FAQ

What pest control plans should I offer?

Commonly a general pest plan, a plan adding rodents and mosquitoes, and a whole home plan adding termite protection. List the pests each plan covers.

Should termite protection be bundled?

Bundling it in a top plan makes it easier to sell than as a separate service. Give the termite warranty terms in writing.

How do I price mosquito service in a plan?

By the number of treatments in your season and yard size. Seasons vary by region, so set the visit count from your own climate.

Can customers sign up for a pest plan online?

From a Koira proposal link they choose the plan, sign and add a card for recurring billing. Recurring billing then starts without another phone call.
