What a glass proposal is for
Shower door buyers are choosing a look and a budget. Three options on the same opening, each with frame style, glass thickness and hardware, let them see the difference between a builder slider and frameless glass. The deposit is paid on the same page, so the order goes in that day.
What to put on a glass proposal
- The same opening in each option.
- Frame style and glass thickness.
- Hardware finish.
- Coatings or extras.
- One acceptance line.

Terms and deposit language for glass
- Deposit. Custom glass is cut to size and cannot be returned, so a deposit is due before it is ordered. Check your state's home improvement deposit rules.
- Payment. Balance due at install.
- Warranty. The fabricator warrants the glass and seals. You warrant the install: leaks at the glazing and hardware you mounted. Breakage after install is not covered.
- Measurements are taken at the measure visit; glass is ordered to those sizes.
- Safety glass is used where code calls for it.
- Frames found rotten or damaged are priced before glass goes in.
How to fill it in
- Fill in the customer and the job.
- Check each option's name, its one-line difference and its lines.
- Add your prices; each option totals on its own.
- Set tax, the deposit and the good-until date.
- Print it, download it, or send it from Koira so the customer can pick and sign on the phone.
