- For a glass company, the features that decide the software are estimates, deposits at signing and paid on the spot.
- Koira covers that list on Office (free), with no per-person fee.
- One company we checked names this trade on its own site: QuoteIQ.
- Prices and card rates for QuoteIQ, Jobber and Housecall Pro are from each company's own pages, checked October 8, 2026.
What a glass company needs from software
Glass work comes in three kinds: the urgent repair, the custom piece and the commercial account. A cracked patio door needs a call answered today, a frameless shower needs a careful quote and a deposit, and a storefront wants an invoice with terms.
What they share is the measure. Every job starts with sizes, and every custom piece is ordered before the install, so the quote and the deposit are where a glass shop protects itself.
- Estimates. A foggy pane or a shower door starts with a measure and a quote, and many can be drafted from photos before anyone drives out.
- Deposits at signing. Custom glass is cut to order and cannot be returned, so it should be paid for before you call the supplier.
- Paid on the spot. The balance is easiest to collect while the customer is admiring the new glass.
- Calls answered by AI. A broken storefront or patio door is an urgent call that goes to whoever answers.
- Options on one estimate. Clear or low-iron, framed or frameless: the customer chooses better from three prices.
- Invoices and online payments. Storefront and property manager work needs a clean invoice with terms.
The jobs on a glass estimate
These are the lines on a glass estimate, from the price list in our free glass estimate template.
| Job line | Priced by | What the line says |
|---|---|---|
| Insulated glass unit, replaced | each | Size, glass type and spacer color. |
| Single pane glass, replaced | each | Size, thickness and glazing method. |
| Tempered safety glass | each | Where code calls for safety glass. |
| Frameless shower door | each | Glass thickness, hinges and hardware finish. |
| Framed shower door | each | Slider or swing, frame finish. |
| Mirror, cut and installed | sq ft | Edge finish and mounting. |
| Tabletop or shelf glass | each | Size, edge and thickness. |
| Storefront glass | each | Size, tempered or laminated. |
| Board-up, emergency | each | After-hours call, plywood and fasteners. |
| Measure visit | visit | Credited to the job if it goes ahead. |
In Koira these go on your price list once. Every estimate, instant price and invoice pulls from it, so a glass company never types the same line twice, and Koira never writes a number that is not in your records.
A plain checklist for glass software
- Quotes drafted from the customer's photos
- Deposit at signing, before the glass is ordered
- The install booked when the glass arrives
- Paid at the install
- Options on glass type and hardware
- Urgent calls answered
- Commercial customers with their own terms
- A review ask after every install
How Koira covers the list
Estimates. A customer texts a photo of the foggy pane or the shower and Koira drafts the estimate from your price list. You check sizes and glass type before it goes, on Office, the free plan.
Deposits at signing. Set your deposit rule once and the customer pays it when they sign, so the order is covered before you call the supplier.
Paid on the spot. Pay at the door collects the balance before you leave.
Calls answered by AI. On Grow, Koira answers every call and texts back every missed one.
Options on one estimate. Up to three options on one estimate, signed and paid on one page.
Invoices and online payments. Businesses can be customers with their own invoices and terms. On Front Office, commercial outreach writes to property managers and shop owners near you.
Which software companies list glass work
We read the industries pages of the companies we compare on koira.ai and noted which ones name this trade. QuoteIQ is in the tables below.
- QuoteIQ names it as Shower Door Installation (marked page coming soon). Read on QuoteIQ industries.
None of the other companies we checked list glass or glazing on their industries pages. Software built for auto glass and commercial glazing shops is a different kind of tool from what a small residential glass shop needs.
Read on October 9, 2026 from each company's own page. A company not named here may still serve glass companies; it just does not name the trade on that page, so ask.
What to compare
The features that matter most to a glass company, and where each first appears on each company's public pricing page, then the people, usage, card and add-on rows every company gets. It is not a full feature list for anyone, including us.

Jobber's pricing page blocks a plain fetch and changes its prices with a team size picker, so we read it in a real browser. The $29 a month per added user is in the note behind each plan's user count. Part of Housecall Pro's pricing page fills in by script and it was running first-month offers when we checked. The plan prices below are the regular ones its plan cards show. A cell names the lowest plan that lists the feature; "Not listed" means we did not see it, so ask. Card rates as each company publishes them (also QuoteIQ online payments), checked October 9, 2026. Koira's is Stripe's 2.9% + 30¢ for a US card plus Koira's share, which pays for Office in place of a monthly fee.
How to choose
If you drive out to look at every job, start with photo quotes. If you have been left holding a custom piece, start with deposits at signing. Both are on Office, the free plan, with pay at the door.
Whichever you try, put one real week of glass jobs through it before you commit. Koira's Office plan is free with no time limit: start on Office, free, or see every plan on the pricing page. The others offer free trials or demos, so ask.
