What a chimney proposal is for

Chimney repairs range from a cap to a full liner, and customers worry about being oversold. Three levels tied to the inspection findings let them choose with the reasons in front of them, and the photos make the top option believable when the liner is really needed.

What to put on a chimney proposal

  • The inspection findings, the same in each.
  • What each level fixes.
  • Warranty for each.
  • Which findings remain if they choose less.
  • One acceptance line.

Terms and deposit language for chimney

  • Deposit. No deposit on sweeps and inspections. Liners and masonry rebuilds take a deposit for materials.
  • Payment. Due on completion.
  • Warranty. State your workmanship warranty on masonry and liner installs; liners carry the maker's warranty, which may require installation by a trained sweep.
  • If an inspection finds a hazard, you will tell the customer in writing and advise not to use the fireplace until it is fixed.
  • Roof access depends on weather and roof pitch.
  • Animals in the chimney may be protected by law; removal follows local rules.

How to fill it in

  1. Fill in the customer and the job.
  2. Check each option's name, its one-line difference and its lines.
  3. Add your prices; each option totals on its own.
  4. Set tax, the deposit and the good-until date.
  5. Print it, download it, or send it from Koira so the customer can pick and sign on the phone.

FAQ

What chimney repair options should I offer?

Basic maintenance, a water-stopping package with crown and sealant, and a full restoration with a liner, each tied to the findings.

When is a chimney liner needed?

When the existing liner is cracked, missing or the wrong size for the appliance. Camera footage shows the customer why.

Should I offer a cheaper option if there is a hazard?

No. If a finding makes the fireplace unsafe, the fix for it belongs in every option. Leaving a hazard unfixed is not an option you should sell.

Can customers choose a chimney option online?

From a Koira link they choose the option, sign and pay any deposit. Liners are ordered to size, so the deposit gets the order started.
