What a pest control estimate is for
Pest control customers call when they see the problem, and the estimate has to explain why one spray will not fix it. Separating the heavier initial treatment from the recurring service, and naming what pests are covered, makes the plan make sense. It also sets out prep, re-service and safety before anything is applied.
What to put on a pest control estimate
- What the inspection found: pests and where.
- The initial treatment, priced separately.
- The recurring service and frequency.
- Pests covered and not covered.
- Re-service policy between visits.
- Prep and safety instructions.
- Your license number.
A worked example
A house with ants in the kitchen, spiders in the garage and a wasp nest under the deck. The family wants quarterly service.
| Line | Qty | Unit | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Initial inspection and treatment | 1 | each | Your price |
| General pest service, quarterly | 4 | visit | Your price |
| Wasp nest removal, under deck | 1 | each | Your price |
List the pests covered in the notes. Customers who think termites or bed bugs are included in general pest service will find out at the worst time.
