What a pressure washing estimate is for
Pressure washing customers usually see the dirt but not the method, so they compare prices for jobs that are not the same: soft wash or blast, surface cleaner or wand, sealed or not. An estimate that names the method and the area for each surface shows what they are buying. It also sets expectations on old oil and rust stains before the truck arrives.
What to put on a pressure washing estimate
- Each surface with its area and material.
- The method: soft wash for siding and roofs, surface cleaner for flatwork.
- Stain treatments and what results to expect.
- Sealing as a separate step, if offered.
- Water access and plant protection.
- Payment on completion.
A worked example
A two-story vinyl house with green on the north side and a driveway and walk with tire marks and a small oil spot. Siding and concrete lines use the calculator's typical prices.

Say in the notes that the oil spot may lighten rather than vanish. A customer who heard that before you started is happy with lighter; one who did not wanted gone.

Terms and deposit language for pressure washing
- Deposit. Residential washes usually need no deposit. Sealing jobs and large commercial jobs may take one to hold the date and buy sealer.
- Payment. Due on completion, once the customer has seen the result.
- Warranty. Results on old stains, rust and oil vary; say what is guaranteed and what is a best effort.
- Customer provides water access at an outside spigot.
- Windows and doors are closed and plants near the house are wetted before and after soft washing.
- Loose paint, failing caulk or damaged siding may come off during washing; say you point these out first.
