What a service agreement covers
A service or maintenance agreement is a promise of recurring work for a set price: so many visits a year, each with a list of tasks, plus any member perks such as priority scheduling or a repair discount. It keeps you on the customer's calendar between big jobs.
What to put in it
- The start date and how long it runs.
- The number of visits and roughly when.
- What each visit includes, task by task.
- What is not covered: parts, storm damage, work by others.
- The price and how it is billed: yearly, monthly or per visit.
- How it renews and how either side can cancel.
