- For a window and door company, the features that decide the software are options on one estimate, customer financing and automatic estimate follow-ups.
- Koira covers that list on Grow ($249 a month plus usage), with no per-person fee.
- One company we checked names this trade on its own site: QuoteIQ.
- Prices and card rates for QuoteIQ, Jobber and Housecall Pro are from each company's own pages, checked October 8, 2026.
What a window and door company needs from software
A window and door sale is a big decision made slowly. The homeowner gets two or three quotes, compares product lines, and often waits for a season or a tax refund. The installer who makes the choice clear and stays in touch without pushing wins more of those decisions.
Then come the long lead times. Units are ordered to size, so the deposit has to come in at signing and the install date has to be held while the order is made.
- Options on one estimate. Twelve windows in three product lines is how the homeowner decides, and it is easiest when the three prices sit side by side.
- Customer financing. Replacement windows are a big ticket, and paying over time makes the better line possible.
- Automatic estimate follow-ups. Window buyers take their time, and the installer who checks in politely is still there when they decide.
- Deposits at signing. Windows and doors are made to order with long lead times, so the order should be paid for when it is placed.
- E-signatures. A signature on the phone ends the back and forth over email and locks the price.
- Day-before reminders. Install day needs access to every room, and a text the day before saves the second trip.
The jobs on a window and door estimate
These are the lines on a window and door estimate, from the price list in our free window and door estimate template.
| Job line | Priced by | What the line says |
|---|---|---|
| Replacement window, insert install | each | Size, frame material, glass package and grid. |
| Replacement window, full frame | each | Tear-out to the rough opening; new trim inside and out. |
| Entry door, prehung | each | Slab material, glass, sidelites and hardware. |
| Storm door | each | Style and closer. |
| Sliding patio door | each | Width, panels and screen. |
| Interior door, prehung | each | Swing and casing. |
| Exterior capping, aluminum | each | Per opening; color to match. |
| Interior trim and stool | each | Per opening; paint or stain grade. |
| Sill and frame rot repair | ft | Priced if found when the old unit comes out. |
| Egress window and well | each | Cutting, well and code requirements; permit. |
In Koira these go on your price list once. Every estimate, instant price and invoice pulls from it, so a window and door company never types the same line twice, and Koira never writes a number that is not in your records.
A plain checklist for window and door software
- Three product lines side by side
- Pay over time on the pay page
- Signature and deposit on one page
- Follow-ups that stop when they decide
- The install date held while units are made
- A day-before text about access
- Final paid on install day
- Postcards to the street after the install
How Koira covers the list
Options on one estimate. Good, better and best each pull from your price list onto one estimate, and the customer picks one and signs. That is on Office, the free plan.
Customer financing. The pay page offers Affirm or Klarna. The customer applies on their own phone; you do not run credit or set terms.
Automatic estimate follow-ups. On Grow, Koira nudges every open estimate on day two and day four and shows who opened it.
Deposits at signing. The deposit is paid at signing, and Today holds the install date when the order lands.
E-signatures. The customer signs with a finger on the same page they pay the deposit.
Day-before reminders. The day before, Koira texts the customer to confirm or move the install.
Which software companies list window and door work
We read the industries pages of the companies we compare on koira.ai and noted which ones name this trade. QuoteIQ is in the tables below.
- QuoteIQ names it as Window Replacement (and Door Installation). Read on QuoteIQ industries.
Read on October 9, 2026 from each company's own page. A company not named here may still serve window and door installers; it just does not name the trade on that page, so ask.

The $29 a month per added user is in the note behind each plan's user count. Part of Housecall Pro's pricing page fills in by script and it was running first-month offers when we checked. The plan prices below are the regular ones its plan cards show. A cell names the lowest plan that lists the feature; "Not listed" means we did not see it, so ask. Card rates as each company publishes them (also QuoteIQ online payments), checked October 9, 2026. Koira's is Stripe's 2.9% + 30¢ for a US card plus Koira's share, which pays for Office in place of a monthly fee.
How to choose
If many of your quotes end with "we will think about it", the follow-ups and pay over time matter most. If you have been caught with an order and no deposit, start with deposits at signing. Options, deposits and pay over time are on Office; follow-ups are on Grow.
Whichever you try, put one real week of window and door jobs through it before you commit. Koira's Office plan is free with no time limit: start on Office, free, or see every plan on the pricing page. The others offer free trials or demos, so ask.
