Where QuoteIQ is the stronger pick

You want the most for the least at the start. QuoteIQ Essentials ($29.99) lists estimates with options, invoices, scheduling, online payments, financing, booking and self-scheduling, review requests and the AI Virtual Call Team.

You quote from a measurement. MapMeasure Pro is on Beginner and InstaQuote, for instant prices, is on Elite. Neither is on Housecall Pro's plan cards.

Recurring work at a low tier. Recurring jobs and invoice subscriptions are on every QuoteIQ plan. Housecall Pro's recurring service plans are on Max.

Where Housecall Pro is the stronger pick

You want people on the phone when something breaks. Every Housecall Pro plan includes live phone and chat support, and Max adds escalated phone support and a dedicated onboarding specialist.

You price from a book. A price book is on Basic and flat-rate pricing on Essentials, with QuickBooks Online on Essentials too.

You want routes without the top tier. Routes come in on Housecall Pro Essentials. QuoteIQ's route optimization starts on Elite.

You do not want to meter AI or hand over a card to try it. Housecall Pro's trial needs no credit card; QuoteIQ's does, and its AI features draw on IQ Credits.

What a 1 to 3 person shop would pay

Both include users by plan. QuoteIQ adds $25 a month per extra person on any plan; Housecall Pro jumps from one user on Basic to five on Essentials, then charges $35 a month per user past eight on Max.

Where Koira fits

Koira takes a third path for one to three person shops: no per-person fee at all, a free Office plan with the site, estimates, invoices and the day plan, and Grow at $249 a month plus usage at cost for the AI receptionist on a Koira number.

If you need a book of flat rates with phone support, Housecall Pro is a strong fit. If you need measuring at a low price, QuoteIQ is. Koira fits when the problem is the office work around the jobs.

How to choose

Pick the one whose first plan already covers your must-haves, then check what one more person costs on it. A tool that is cheap for one and expensive for three is a decision you will make again next spring.
