National brands
This Old House's survey averages a linear foot: Leafguard $39.59, LeafFilter $41.72, Gutter Guards America $46.77, All American Gutter Protection $47.02 and HomeCraft $61.61. The survey's median project was $5,000.
Are gutter guards worth it?
They cut cleanings but rarely end them. Today's Homeowner puts gutter cleaning at about $160 for 200 feet, so a cheap guard pays back faster than a brand system. Under pine trees, micro-mesh is worth the extra.
A worked example
One hundred fifty feet of micro-mesh at the US average comes to $1,001 to $1,350, about $1,175 typical. Two hundred feet of a national brand is about $9,354. Enter a ZIP to scale the 55% labor share.
