Cabinet installers charge by the linear foot of cabinet run, by the cabinet or by the hour. Fixr says installers who charge a flat rate usually land around $50 to $200 a linear foot, and those who charge hourly average $40 to $100 an hour. Bob Vila puts labor and installation at about $130 to $200 a cabinet.

A worked example: semi-custom in a mid-size kitchen

Thirty linear feet of semi-custom cabinets, supplied and installed, with the old cabinets removed.

Cabinets and install. 30 × $150 / $400 / $650 = $4,500 / $12,000 / $19,500.
Removal. $325 / $538 / $750.
Total. $4,825 to $20,250, about $12,538 typical.
