- For a fence company, the features that decide the software are options on one estimate, deposits at signing, automatic estimate follow-ups.
- Koira covers that list on Grow ($249 a month plus usage), with no per-person fee.
- Prices for Jobber, Housecall Pro and QuoteIQ are from each company's own page, checked October 8, 2026.
- Count the people who will use it before you compare prices.
What a fence company needs from software
Spring fills a fence company's calendar with quotes, and most of them go quiet. A homeowner asks three installers to price the same yard, and the one who sends a clear quote first, with a choice of materials, and checks in two days later is usually the one who gets the deposit.
Fence work also has a cash problem built in: posts and panels cost real money, and ordering them before the deposit clears is how a small installer ends up floating someone else's project.
- Options on one estimate. Wood, vinyl and aluminum side by side lets the customer pick instead of shop around.
- Deposits at signing. Posts and panels should be ordered after the deposit, not before.
- Automatic estimate follow-ups. Half of fence quotes never get an answer without a nudge.
- Measuring from above. A fence line measured on the map gives a first number before the visit.
- Customer financing. A long run of vinyl is a big number for one weekend.
- Calls answered by AI. The spring rush rings while you are setting posts.

How Koira covers the list
Options on one estimate. An estimate carries up to three options from your price list, signed with a finger and paid on one page.
Deposits at signing. The deposit is paid on the same page the customer signs.
Automatic estimate follow-ups. Koira nudges every open estimate on day two and day four with a short, friendly text, then stops.
Measuring from above. Koira's free fence linear feet tool measures the line on a map, and the Get a price button answers from your list.
Customer financing. On the pay page they can choose Affirm or Klarna. You do not run credit.
Calls answered by AI. On Grow, Koira answers every call and books the measure in driving order.

From Jobber pricing, Housecall Pro pricing and QuoteIQ pricing, checked October 8, 2026. A cell names the lowest plan that lists the feature; "Not listed" means we did not see it, so ask. Jobber's pricing page blocks a plain fetch and changes its prices with a team size picker, so we read it in a real browser. The $29 a month per added user is in the note behind each plan's user count. Part of Housecall Pro's pricing page fills in by script and it was running first-month offers when we checked. The plan prices below are the regular ones its plan cards show. Prices are per month in US dollars and change often, so check the page before you buy.
ServiceTitan is left out of that table because its pricing page does not list prices. It sells Starter, Essentials and The Works per technician on request, and is built for shops with an office.

How to choose
Count how many quotes you sent last spring and how many signed. If fewer than half signed, the follow-up and options matter more than anything else on the list.
Then check whether the deposit comes in on the same page as the signature. If it is a second step, some customers will never take it.
Whichever you try, put one real week of jobs through it before you commit. Koira has a free plan, and the others offer free trials, so ask.
