What drives the price
- Stock, semi-custom or custom. Stock cabinets are cheapest. Custom cabinets are built to fit and cost the most.
- Material and finish. Particleboard boxes cost less than plywood. Painted and glazed finishes cost more than stained.
- Linear feet. The longer the runs and the taller the uppers, the higher the bill.
- Tear-out and fit. Removing old cabinets and fitting to walls that are out of square adds time.
