What this checklist covers
Ducts that are undersized, unsealed or crushed are hard to fix after drywall, and they decide how well the system works for its whole life. ENERGY STAR's quality installation guidance asks for a duct system that is inspected, leakage tested and repaired; rough-in is when that is easy.
