Where roofers buy
Roofers buy shingles, underlayment and flashing by the pallet, so a distributor account with delivery to the roof is the usual setup. Big-box stores fill the gaps.

For the first order, price the starter kit too: personal fall arrest kit: harness, lanyard, rope grab and roof anchors; extension ladder rated for roofing loads, with standoff; multi-position ladder for valleys and interior attic access; roofing nailer and a second as a backup; portable air compressor and hoses; roofing shovels and a pry bar; hook-blade utility knives and a chalk line; roofing hatchet, hammer tacker and tin snips; tarps, magnetic sweeper and dump trailer or bin rental; measuring wheel and a drone or satellite measure. Bigger purchases to price at a dealer or rental house: second compressor and a coil siding nailer; shingle lift or ladder hoist; metal brake for drip edge and flashing; roof brackets, toe boards and guardrail kits; infrared camera or moisture meter; dump trailer of your own.
Opening a trade account
Bring your business name, tax ID and license number, and a credit application if you want terms. The big-box programs are compared row by row on Home Depot Pro vs Lowe's Pro. For the tools themselves, the roofing tools list has prices read on the makers' own sites (Little Giant).
When supplier prices change
Update your roofing price list the same week a supplier raises prices. In Koira, that price list is what your estimates are built from.
