What punch list means
A punch list is the list of small items left to fix or finish at the end of a job, made during a walkthrough with the customer.
Where it matters on a general contracting job
A short, agreed punch list is the last thing between you and the final payment. Walk it with the customer, write it down with photos, and get them to sign off on each item as it is done.
