What conduit body means
A conduit body is a fitting with a removable cover, such as an LB or T, used to turn corners in conduit and give access for pulling wire.
Also called LB, condulet.
Where it matters on a electrical job
LBs are common where a conduit run goes through an exterior wall. Splices are only allowed in conduit bodies marked for them, so do not use one as a junction box unless it is rated.
