What infill means
Infill is the pattern printed inside a part's outer walls, set in the slicer as a percentage of how solid the inside is. Common patterns include grid, gyroid and honeycomb.
Also called infill density, infill percentage.
Where it matters on a 3D printing job
More infill makes a part stronger and heavier but uses more material and machine time. Agree the infill and wall count with the customer for functional parts, and quote from the slicer's numbers at that setting rather than a guess.
