What this checklist covers

Sediment settles in the bottom of a tank water heater, and flushing it is the most common water heater maintenance. Follow the heater maker's instructions; some say how often to flush and how to test the relief valve.

Never restore power to an electric heater before the tank is full.

How to use it

Tick each item as you go. The sheet saves in this browser, so you can close the page and come back. Print a blank copy for the truck, or fill it in on your phone and print or save it as a PDF for the customer at the end.

With Koira: Maintenance plans

Sell a yearly flush as a plan on your site and on every invoice. On Koira's Front Office plan, Koira bills the plan, books each visit when it comes due and puts it on your day.
