When to send a quote follow-up text
Send the first nudge a day or two after the estimate goes out, once the customer has had time to read it. Send the check-in a few days later. If there is still no answer, the polite close gives them an easy way to say yes or no, and often gets a reply when the others did not.
Three messages is enough. After that, a follow-up starts to cost you more goodwill than it wins.
How to make it yours
- Name the job. "The estimate for the water heater" lands better than "your quote".
- Put the link in again. People lose texts. Make it one tap to see the price and sign.
- Offer a reason to answer. A question, a choice of dates, or a smaller option all get replies.
- Send at a normal hour. Texts at night read as pushy. Mid-morning and early evening work for most homeowners.
- Only text people who gave you their number for this. If they ask you to stop, stop.
Send it automatically: Bid follow-ups
Koira follows up on every open estimate on day two and day four, then stops, so no bid goes quiet and nobody gets nagged. You see who opened the estimate and who signed. The customer signs and pays the deposit from the same link.
Koira's free Office plan includes estimates, invoices and card payments. See pricing for what each plan sends for you.
