What slump means
Slump is how much fresh concrete sags when a cone of it is lifted away in a slump test. It shows how wet and workable the mix is.
Also called slump test.
Where it matters on a concrete job
Adding water on site raises slump and lowers strength. Order the slump you need, and if the crew wants it wetter, use an admixture rather than the hose.
