What baseboard means
Baseboard is the trim along the bottom of interior walls where they meet the floor.
Also called base molding, skirting.
Where it matters on a carpentry job
Flooring jobs usually involve pulling and resetting or replacing baseboard, so say in the estimate who does it. Scribing base to a wavy floor takes time, and painters often caulk the top edge.
