What fumigation means
Fumigation fills a sealed building, often under a tent, with a gas pesticide to kill drywood termites, bed bugs or other pests throughout.
Also called tenting.
Where it matters on a pest control job
Fumigation is licensed specialty work with strict prep and re-entry rules. Even if you do not fumigate, knowing when to refer it keeps your customers trusting you.
What it costs
Jobs that involve fumigation are priced in the tenting and fumigation cost guide: about $5,500 typical, usually $2,500 to $8,000. The guide shows its sources and what moves the price.
