What softscape means
Softscape is the living part of a landscape: lawn, trees, shrubs, perennials, groundcover and the soil and mulch around them.
Where it matters on a landscaping job
Softscape jobs are priced by plant count and size plus labor and soil prep. Plant warranties are a customer favorite; say clearly what is covered and for how long, and that watering is on the owner.
What it costs
Koira's landscaping cost guide puts a typical job at $6,750, with most between $4,600 to $10,500. The guide shows its sources and what moves the price. The lawn care cost calculator prices a job line by line.
