What lead time means
Lead time is how long it takes from ordering a material or product until it is delivered.
Where it matters on a general contracting job
Windows, custom cabinets, panels and specialty items can have long lead times that set the whole schedule. Ask the supplier when you quote, and order as soon as the deposit clears.
