Facebook data deletion
Last updated: October 11, 2026
What this covers
When a business owner connects a Facebook Page to Koira so Koira can run Facebook and Instagram ads for them, Koira receives some data from Facebook. This page explains how to have that data deleted. The rest of what Koira holds is covered by the privacy policy.
What Koira receives from Facebook
- The connection: your Facebook user ID for Koira, your name as Facebook shows it, and the access that lets Koira manage ads for your Page.
- Your Page: its name and ID, and the access you shared with Koira's business to advertise on it.
- Leads: the answers people send through the ad form on your Page, such as their name, phone number, ZIP code and what they need.
How to ask for deletion
Either way works:
- From Facebook: open Settings and privacy, then Settings, then Apps and websites. Find Koira, remove it, and choose to send a request to delete your data. Facebook gives you a confirmation code and a link to check the status.
- By email: write to support@koira.ai from the email on your Koira account, or include the name of your business and your Facebook Page. Put "Facebook data deletion" in the subject.
What is deleted
- The connection to your Facebook account, and any access Koira was given to your Page.
- Koira's copies of the leads it received from Facebook for your Page.
- Your Facebook and Instagram ads that Koira runs are stopped.
Leads that were already passed to you as messages in your Koira app belong to your business records. You can delete those yourself in the app, or ask us to in the same email.
How long it takes
A request sent from Facebook is handled automatically, usually within minutes. An email request is handled within 30 days, and we reply to confirm when it is done. Copies in backups are removed as those backups expire, within 90 days.
